A big news day. Four updates below to fill you in on, all at once: Bass Clef on TV - ZunZunEgui in Notting Hill - Blank Tapes DJs in Swiss Cottage - Bass Clef in Berlin and on Skull Disco - scroll down for details.

Channel 4 are to screen two shows covering last month's Concrete + Glass event, one node of which was hosted by Blank Tapes. The first is tonight (or tomorrow morning if you like) at 1.20am, the second will be on Friday 14 November, transmission time tbc. Keep your eyes peeled for Bass Clef.

The next big Skull Disco comp, 'Soundboy's Gravestone Gets Desecrated' will feature Bass Clef's massive remix of Appleblim and Peverelist's 'Circling', along with a treasure chest of Shackleton cuts. Out soon in all good etc etc

Lots of new live shows to announce also.

- Thee, Stranded Horse is heading to warmer climes in October, playing Bordeaux (15 October) then onto San Sebastian (16 October) and Barcelona (18 October).

- Bass Clef now has new dates up in the LIVE section including Rotterdam, Oslo, Bergen, Cork and Berlin. Closer to home the BC flag will be flown at Cargo (London) twice, and the Croft (Bristol) for a special almost-Xmas show with Shackleton and Afrikan Boy.

- And on Saturday 6 December, three Blank Tape particles will collide with subatomic force at supercool temperatures down by the sea in Penryn, Cornwall. ZunZunEgui and Bass Clef live onstage, with DJ action from the Blank Tapes board of directors, and Bristol radical activists Qu. Like Space Ghost, we do it coast to coast.

Lots of new autumn shows to announce for ZunZunEgui, who will be taking a break from the studio to play shows in Bristol, Brighton, London, France and the Netherlands. All details in the LIVE section, where you can also find the latest Bass Clef dates.

Joe Goddard from Hot Chip once told Blank Tapes a story about being on tour in Australia. On the way to do a DJ date on a night in between shows, the promoter, seeing Joe's box of vinyl, looked alarmed and said they'd have to ring ahead to make sure the club had decks.
